Job Description

Carlsbad commercial playground equipment company is seeking to hire several hunter mentality sales representatives for the Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego counties. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, passionate, competitive, tenacious, hungry for success, eager and willing to hunt for own opportunities and have a desire to hustle in pursuit of excellence. This is a challenging position in a highly competitive industry which is only suitable for individuals who are independent, highly responsible, capable of meeting monthly sales goals and can work with minimal direction and supervision. Excellent communication and time management skills are a must. 

Daily responsibilities include researching potential targets and hunting for opportunities with potential clients such as architects, landscape architects, cities, school districts, HOA management companies, builders, developers, etc. Work requires research, use of CRM, email and cold calls to reach out to the target audience and set up appointments to visit clients.

Minimum Requirements

  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High energy, motivated, driven, persistent, take initiatives, professional work ethics
  • Excellent time management skills, organized and able to set priorities
  • Disciplined in maintaining high call volumes, making a minimum 100 outbound calls per week
  • Prior consistent quota achievement, top performance in sales and business development
  • Highly competitive and focused on achieving goals
  • Experience with CRM, social media, Email, Excel, Word and internet navigation
  • Ability to work without supervision in a busy work environment
  • Ability to meet our minimum yearly sales goals and show monthly progress towards it
  • Ability and confidence to present in front of small groups as well as larger audiences
  • Strong closer with ability to follow up on proposals and close deals

 

Responsibilities

  • Promote name recognition for our products and services
  • Research opportunities, identify targets, reach targets, set appointments, visit clients, close deals
  • Develop new business through prospecting, cold calls, site visits and email campaigns
  • Qualify leads, schedule meetings using HubSpot, develop leads and pipeline of projects
  • Build relationships and maintain them to capture multiple sales year over year
  • Meet with potential clients, present our products and services, gather information from clients
  • Communicate client needs to our design team and work with them to prepare proposals
  • Present proposals to clients, work with our design team to make revisions as needed
  • Follow through with clients regularly until proposals are turned into contracts
  • Work with our management team to keep clients informed during the duration of project

 

Compensation

  • Base pay DOE plus commission (six figure income once minimum sales goal is met)
  • Commission is on a sliding scale that rewards reaching our sales goals
  • Flex hours, paid vacation, holidays and sick pay
  • Eligible for participating in pension plan once qualified

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the playground industry is preferred, but not mandatory
  • 3-5 years of sales related work experience (preferred)
  • Track record of meeting sales goals (preferred)
