Job Description

Production Technician:

 

Qualification testing of assembled spectrometer units. Knowledge of using test application software’s, Microsoft office utilities, power supplies, light sources, test equipment’s including multimeters, oscilloscope, function generators etc. Team communication desired for achieving weekly production demands.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operating and testing of OEM optics products using opto-mechanical, electronic hardware and software tools.
  • Validating quality control tests for optical products.
  • Assistance to Manufacturing group.
  • Assistance to Service Department including trouble shooting OEM products.
  • Use of Intercompany Database Software for production and service transactions.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing in communicating with the customers and co-workers, giving, and receiving instructions.
  • Work Authorization in the U.S.
  • Technical school background required.
  • Knowledge of handling optics, electronics, and mechanical parts.
  • Ability to read and follow test instructions for OEM products.
  • Ability to use hand tools for assembly and soldering irons.
  • Sufficient PC knowledge, hardware, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Most important a willingness to be a team player.

 

R&D Engineer:

Job Overview:


We are seeking a talented R&D engineer to assist with the design and testing of our new range of products. In this role, you will be working closely with the R&D team to create functional design concepts, test existing designs, and oversee the implementation of development projects. You may also be spearheading the redesign of existing products.

The Research and Development Engineer will report to the Head of R&D.

 

Requirements:

  • Master of Science degree in physics with optic sciences, electrical engineering with opto-electronics, or related field
  • Experience building and testing opto-mechanical, electrical, photonic, or mechanical assemblies
  • Hands on experience with CAD design tools such as Solidworks, AutoCAD etc.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
  • Familiar with optical alignment, integration and testing of prototype and proof of concept systems, involving various light sources/laser, optics, fiber optic light guides, electronics, software, and mechanical sub-assemblies
  • Able to communicate with vendors and suppliers for the optical, electrical, and mechanical components required to build the prototype assemblies
  • Familiar with drawing/drafting standards and tolerances for opto-mechanical designs
  • Experience in designing enclosures/optical components for opto-electro-mechanical systems
  • Must have high attention to detail, well organized with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft tools i.e., Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio for concept, bill of materials and documentation
  • Knowledge of Zemax optical design software is a plus

Quality Assurance & Returns Manager:

 

Job Overview:

 

The Quality Assurance and Returns Services Manager will report to the Head of Production & Service. In this role, you will be expected to assist our organizations to formulate quality standards and regulations for employees and for the product manufactured at our premises. The Quality Assurance Manager must analyze the data gathered and plan accordingly to improve product quality.  You will be accountable for identifying the mistakes and inspecting the procedures. An efficient manager in QA should have solid experience in quality control processes and their standards.  An ideal candidate for this position should be competent to continue business life cycle and to attain long term success in business. 

You will be responsible for the entire Returns Process as part of the Quality Control.

 

Effective product returns strategies and programs can result in increased revenues, lower costs, improved profitability, and enhanced levels of customer service.

Understanding of product operation, troubleshooting methods to figure out root cause of issues is required. 4D/8D reports will be generated and provided to customers as needed. Team communication desired for achieving short turnaround time for customer issues and production related issues. Knowledge of using test application software’s, Microsoft office utilities, power supplies, light sources, test equipment’s including multimeters, oscilloscope, function generators etc.

Quality Assurance:

  • Analyze the data thoroughly to find the areas of growth
  • Develop strategies to improve the production process
  • Eyeing on the objectives to maximize the profitability of the organization
  • Providing training to individuals who handle the product
  • Make sure whether the product goes through auditing and testing
  • Make sure whether all the legal standards are met and review thoroughly the existing policies and standards
  • Review the organization’s process to ensure whether they align with the current policies 
  • Formulate timely reports and documentation to track progress
  • Identify the training requirements to meet the quality standards, train the team
  • Develop and monitor corrective measures
  • Make documentation of internal audits and quality assurance activities
  • Prepare and successfully run the yearly external ISO 9001:2015 audit process
  • Plan, conduct, and monitor the test, and inspecting the products to ensure its quality
  • Look at customer complaints
  • Analyze the data to find the areas for improvement
  • Manage relevant KPIs

 

Returns & Service:

  • RMA handling- Complete returns and exchange process are handled and monitored by the Returns department
  • Runs the initial troubleshooting and diagnostics for root cause
  • Parts are returned to vendors (RTV Process) as needed
  • Generation of 4D/8D reports
  • RMA/ Non-conformance gets regularly summarize in the QMS

 

 

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar engineering degree
  • Knowledge of handling & troubleshooting optics, electronics, and mechanical parts.
  • Ability to read and follow test instructions of spectrometry products
  • Ability to use hand tools for assembly and soldering irons
  • Sufficient PC knowledge, hardware, and software (WORD, EXCEL), ERP system etc.
  • Knowledge of analog design, e.g., SMPS (topologies Buck, Boost, Flyback, LLC/Resonant Converters), and EMI/EMC
  • Experience with measuring conducted and radiated EMI; digital design, and knowledge on MCU, CPU
  • Assembler and higher languages such as C/C++/C#, knowledge on what a register is; and how to build a counter
  • Knowledge of what an FPGA is, what HPLs such as VHDL and Verilog are; the difference between active and passive components; basic OPAMP circuits (differentiator amplifier, integrator, subtractor, inverter, etc.)
  • Understanding of high-pass and low-pass; Kirchhoff’s Voltage and Current Law
  • Proficiency of ADCs; UART, I2C and SPI
  • General knowledge of electronic components; how a transistor works, Flip-Flop Circuits etc.
  • Experience with measurements using an o-scope and multimeter
  • Having relevant experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing is an added advantage
  • Ample experience in implementing corrective/preventive measures
  • Quality assurance knowledge of tools and methodologies
  • Certification programs in Six Sigma, Quality Improvement associate, quality auditor, and quality engineer
