Under the immediate supervision of the bus chauffeur, school principal or designee, the bus attendant monitors the activities of special education students while on buses en route to and from school. Employees in this class prepare students to board buses; ensure that students are in their seats; maintain order on buses; render other assistance when necessary. Work also involves insuring the student's well-being and safety while traveling on the bus. Additionally, the bus attendant may be required to assist the teacher in a variety of classroom activities such as distributing and collecting classroom materials, aiding students with personal habits and self-care skills; reinforcing classroom routines and activities and performing related duties as required.
Qualifications
Have education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth school grade. In order to be considered for this position, you must attach a copy of your high school diploma/ GED to your application.
Pay Rate : $15.83 hourly
