Electrical – The role of an electrical engineer is to perform a variety of selected tasks and assignments to continue to develop knowledge and skills within the electrical discipline. Assignments will require good technical understanding of the basics. Work performed will be under the direct supervision of a Senior Technician or Engineer. A prospective hire will perform a variety of tasks which may include preparing drawings and assisting with the plans and designs of electrical systems including but not limited to power distribution, fire alarms, low voltage controls, telecommunications / data, lighting, and security in healthcare, industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial, education, institutional and other types of facilities. Full scope of the engineer’s workload depends on prior work history. Employees will also have the opportunity to accompany senior staff to construction sites and pre-design site visits.
Plumbing/Fire Protection – The role of a prospective hire is to perform a variety of selected tasks and assignments to continue to develop knowledge and skills within the P/FP discipline. Assignments will require good technical understanding of the basics. Work performed will be under the direct supervision of a Senior Technician or Engineer. The employee will assist the plumbing design team in the daily design activities for various projects. These activities will include reviewing and understanding drawings, preparing design calculations, and drafting engineered mark-ups into Revit design program for various Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. These systems include domestic water, drainage, natural gas, compressed air, and medical gas systems. There will be opportunities to be on construction sites and attend field meetings with the design engineer to observe construction progress and complete field observations. Looking for self-motivated individuals with good communication skills and experience with excel and revit.
HVAC - An HVAC engineer will have the opportunity to work closely with mechanical engineers on the design of HVAC systems for a variety of building types, including hospitals, laboratories, schools, office buildings and more. Tasks may include mechanical calculations, computer assisted drafting, code analysis, and mechanical surveys. Employees will have an opportunity to work collaboratively with professional architects, interior designers, and all disciplines of MEP engineers to create and document full building designs. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a strong interest in applied thermodynamics and construction. Engineers will also have the opportunity to accompany senior staff to construction sites and pre-design site visits.
