Job Description

AFE Kitchen Hood Technician:

  • Experience performing semi‐annual and annual inspections of kitchen hood fire suppression systems.
  • Installation experience is a plus but not required.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA codes and standards said inspections.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Detail oriented and strong problem‐solving skills
  • Proficient in personal computer programs such as Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Direct report to Supervisor
  • Reviewing scope of work and performing work based on the scope.
  • Perform other duties assigned, including attending training classes.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Complete vehicle reports in a timely manner. Maintain accurate truck inventory.
  • Ability to work well with others.

AFE Fire Extinguisher Technician:


  • Experience working as a fire extinguisher technician.
  • Familiar with NFPA codes and standards.
  • Solicit new business for fire extinguisher, exit / emergency light and restaurant fire suppression inspections.
  • Conduct inspections for established customers in a timely manner while maintaining high standard of quality work.
  • Perform work in an efficient and organized matter.
  • Maintain accurate and precise documentation daily.
  • Be a self-motivator with little direct supervision required.
  • Display professional appearance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Professional communication with customers and ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Motivated to achieve a high standard of productivity.


  • Valid and clean driver’s license is required.
  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background.
  • Drive company provided service vehicle.
  • Perform other duties assigned, including attending training classes.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Maintain accurate truck inventory.
  • Ability to work well with others.


Fire Alarm Technician:



  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm and/or fire suppression systems
  • Experience in the field of testing, inspecting and performing maintenance on fire alarm/ booster panels and systems
  • Must be able to identify system/ component deficiencies according to NFPA 72 as well as fire alarm system testing and inspection in commercial buildings compliance to fire and building code standards
  • Must be able to respond to service requests, accurately diagnose fire alarm system malfunctions and adjust, repair or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance
  • Must be able to communicate with customers to assure that any system deficiencies are promptly reported and corrected
  • CSA or NICET II certification preferred



  • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as working above ceiling spaces, crawlspaces, climbing a ladder, high lift equipment,
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and good driving record
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Pass a background check
  • Pass a drug screen



SMG Low Volt Technician:


Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot system issues, diagnose and perform repairs.
  • Pull and route CAT5, CAT6, 22/8C, 16/2C, and other low voltage cables in new construction and existing structure commercial and residential environment.
  • Terminate data jacks, installation, and termination of cameras, card readers, motions, exit devices, and other security/access control equipment.
  • Install support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
  • Pull, route, install, and terminate structured and low voltage cabling infrastructure in a commercial and residential environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 5+ years’ experience installing and servicing voice, data, and security systems in a commercial and residential environment.
  • Must possess Arizona Alarm Agent License or be able to become licensed.
  • Must be comfortable working from a lift and ladders.  
  • Working knowledge of computer networking, IP addresses etc.
  • Must own basic low voltage tools including punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, etc.
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate company vehicle or use personal vehicle to work (vehicle allowance and gas card for use of personal vehicle).
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.  No sponsorship is available for this position.
