Under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Director, the Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for supervision of a team of Revenue Cycle Specialists monitoring their performance, assisting with issues as they arise and conducting regular quality audits of the staff’s work. Additionally, the Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for day to day communication and relationship development with their Center’s administration (Administrators and BOMs).
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, COMPETENCIES
- Provides regular communication and feedback to supervisor.
- Promotes effective working relationships with Center administration as the leader of the Center team. Identifying and utilizing opportunities to benefit the Center, effectively communicating with the Center all updates.
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of payer contracts for each Center in your purview as well as keeping HST fee schedules current.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate the department’s mission, vision and values, as well as the department’s goals, to all staff.
- Assists in the definition of performance objectives and metrics for the department and assesses the level of competence of staff in a timely manner.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
- Seven years’ experience billing/collecting in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of heath care operations
- Proficient computer skills
- Five years of full cycle ASC experience
- Two years supervisory experience
- Microsoft Office Specialist certifications

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply concepts of accounting. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Computer Skills: Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Special Requirements: Must be able to work variable hours and be flexible to meet the needs of the center’s daily surgery schedule. Travel to client sites/ conferences may be required as necessary.
