As a Lead HVAC Installer with years of experience in the HVAC field, you’ll find that T.F. O’Brien offers you unlimited opportunities. Our Lead HVAC Installer is responsible for the overall installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, fittings, and control wiring, as well as ensuring the completion of projects are within the budgeted labor hours as outlined by the installation manager. If projects begin to fall outside the labor budget, the installation lead tech is to inform the installation manager along with a plan to correct going forward. The lead Installer will also be responsible for performing duct pressure testing on all projects and understand how to read and react to them as well as maintaining and controlling truck stock levels and replenishment. It is the role of the lead tech to develop and train helpers to advance their knowledge of the installation process. Role and Responsibilities: Arrive at job site at agreed upon scheduled time as dispatched Lead install team to work towards production efficiency and quality standards Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that may arise that would keep the equipment from functioning as per the manufacturer’s specification Communicate to the customer on the proper operation and owner’s maintenance of the installed equipment. Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner. Perform required electronic documentation for each installation, recording accurate readings, observations, and recommendations if necessary. Have the customer/client authorize necessary electronic documentation and collect payments as directed. Keep the installation manager apprised of job progress and report immediately any issues that arise that may prevent the project being completed on time and on budget. Assure that the install team works in a neat, clean, and tidy manner disposing of old equipment, material, and packaging properly and respectfully of the customer's property Working knowledge of our products and services being offered. This may require additional study and training both on and off-site. Establish goals and objectives as they relate to the position, along with a plan of action to attain or exceed set goals. Regularly review and monitor progress against goals and seek assistance as needed. Communicate effectively with associates, superiors, vendors, and customers. Job Summary: The HVAC Installation Technician will be responsible for installing and repairing various air quality systems. Their main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items.  Key Results Areas: Installation of all types of new HVAC heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems with exceptional attention to detail Installation of ductwork-metal and flex, in light commercial and residential buildings Ensure connections of all gas lines to heating equipment/fixtures is properly done Determine a bill of materials needed for a HVAC job, pre-measuring, duct design as necessary Perform all stages for startups on new construction Perform installation of copper refrigeration lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering Familiarity with the different manufacturers and types of equipment, the startup and operation Confirm that each job is permitted (by management) before job begins and that each job is installed to code for a successful pass by inspection official Complete and turn in appropriate quality checklist on every job Leave every jobsite cleaned up and better than it was upon arrival Educate customers on the operation of their new system, thermostat(s) and filter size(s) Mentor our field apprentices and be a willing participant in training programs offered by Cornerstone Comfort and our vendors/partners for career development and advancement Respect all safety and environmental policies and procedures Demonstrate and hold in high regard Cornerstone Comfort’s core values and mission in your daily duties and interactions with fellow team members, vendors, the general public and most importantly-our customers Other duties as assigned     Requirements To be successful in this role, your Core Values must align with ours: Start With Curiosity-Show genuine interest.   We're looking for a skilled individual with a passion for welding and assembly to join our team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to detailed welding work. Ideal candidates are those who have a keen eye for detail, safety, and can manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Preparation & Planning:  Start each day by following the daily signal report to organize tasks. Select the appropriate equipment and plan the layout, assembly, and welding process. Welding & Assembly:  Accurately lay out, position, align, and fit components together. Secure parts in position for welding by bolting, clamping, and tack-welding. Perform welding along various weld lines (flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead). Ensure welds meet specifications through examinations and pressure tests. Finishing & Repairing:  Use tools like chop saws, plasma cutters, and sanders to fit parts perfectly. Repair products by dismantling and reassembling parts. Change welding gas cylinders and weld wire as needed. Equipment Operation:  Operate forklifts, power buggies, hoists, and scissor lifts safely. Maintain a high level of caution and care when handling all machinery and equipment. Additional Duties:  Be prepared to handle various other assigned tasks and ensure regular and predictable attendance. Qualifications Education & Experience: A. Degree or Welder Certificate from a technical college or trade school preferred or 6 months to 1 year of related experience or a combination of education and experience. Must understand welding symbols and be able to interpret prints. Proficient in reading tape measures and calipers. Ability to understand instructions, write correspondences, and present information effectively. Solid arithmetic skills and ability to operate hand and air-powered tools. Familiarity with operating a hoist.   Certifications:  Will be required to pass a Multiquip Welder Certification test within 3 months of employment.   Physical Requirements: The role requires standing, walking, handling, and reaching frequently. Occasionally requires stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must be capable of lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and standing for 10 hours a day in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to handle exposure to chemicals and loud noises. Hearing protection is mandatory.
