The Cleaner will be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition, and will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, cleaning and stocking restrooms, washing walls, glass and upholstered furniture, as well as removing garbage and recycling. Duties may include notifying management of the need for repairs and safety issues. Taking pride and ownership of your duties and or areas are crucial to success.  

Complete and check off all tasks listed on the daily duty list. Be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively. Be proactive — identify and address issues without waiting for direction. Be adaptable, as daily assignments and priorities may change. Manage time wisely to complete all assigned activities within the scheduled shift. Overtime is not provided, so staff must use their time efficiently to stay on track. Leaders will regularly check work areas, and any tasks missed or needing additional attention will be returned to the employee to complete. Be comfortable using technology (T-Phones provided by client are used to scan and track work activities). Wear required safety glasses during all work activities. Be physically able to bend, lift, and move continuously throughout the shift. Use backpack vacuums for deep cleaning cubicle spaces. Work independently when needed and maintain high standards of quality. Perform detailed cleaning of glass, mirrors, and stainless steel. Uniform & Requirements Uniform: Black jeans, black non-slip shoes, and a navy blue collared shirt. (After two weeks, a Verde Clean uniform top will be provided.) Safety glasses are provided by Verde Clean. Personal cell phones are not allowed in the building — all phones must be stored in lockers before passing through security.    

2+ years prior experience working as a janitor in the residential property management or hospitality industry Must be able to work with little supervision Must have excellent time management skills A keen eye for cleanliness and property appearance Must possess basic computer skills Effective communication skills Ability to work with the team to reach property appearance goals Job Expectations Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of grounds, lobbies, hallways, floors, carpet, restrooms, elevators, stairways, windows and other common areas through daily washing, waxing, dusting, vacuuming and trash removal Walk the property, common areas and grounds daily to ensure cleanliness Provide excellent customer service to our residents Report unsafe conditions to maintenance personnel or property manager Maintain or report common area lighting outages Keep track of cleaning supplies and request replacement order as needed Follow all safe practices when handling cleaning chemicals or using machinery Empty all trash receptacles and transport trash to the disposal area Complete minor maintenance duties Perform other duties as assigned by Property Manager or Service Manager
