Some Necessary Requirements
We are looking for those who have already attained a master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university
We need you to have a Virginia clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) with the ability to practice independently and potentially would like to be supervisors for those who are coming along in their journey
Experienced in completing psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes
Be effective in written and verbal communication skills
Be able to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents promptly
Have experience and comfort in working with diverse populations from the surrounding community
Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
Experience with children, adolescents, and young adults
Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base
Proficient in the use of standard office technology (computers, e-mail, etc.) and Electronic Health Record systems (experience with Valant a plus)
Ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide therapy services for individuals, families, and groups
Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, and complete ongoing documentation including session progress notes, continual assessments, treatment plan reviews, and any other contact notes according to company guidelines and protocols
Part-time requires a minimum of 15 completed 1-hour sessions per week. To achieve full-time status, clinicians must maintain a completed caseload of a minimum of 25 1-hour client visits per week
Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling the mental health gaps in our community
Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals
Be an advocate for your client by coordinating services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed
Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and training
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Experience with youth and families
Ideal candidates will have knowledge of and experience with therapy services provided to children, youth, and their families in an outpatient setting.
Familiar with community resources
Certified in specialty treatment modalities specific to children and/or adolescents
Fluent in a language in addition to English

About You
We are growing and searching for highly-skilled licensed therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) to provide outpatient-level clinical services (i.e. assessments, individual, family and group therapy, including equine, case management, crisis intervention, and linkage) to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (ex: schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD) living in an adult residential care facility.
To do this work successfully, you will need:

Your Responsibilities
Using best practice standards, therapists must be able to work with a diverse population of conserved and non-conserved individuals with co-occurring behavioral health and medical diagnoses as well as substance use disorders. Therapists at Psynergy are part of a multidisciplinary team comprised of psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, lead clinicians and rehabilitation counselors who work with California’s most complex and chronic cases.
As lead clinician for a caseload of 25 clients, the Psynergy therapist takes pride in:

Working in collaboration with 26 counties in CA (and counting!) providing specialty mental health services as part of California’s system of care
Utilizing best practice standards including having a “whatever it takes” attitude and focus
Providing strengths-based services to a diverse client population that resides in an enriched residential community
Conducting assessments upon admission and as needed
Developing effective treatment and behavioral plans to achieve personal goals including
reducing unnecessary hospitalizations
Performing regular risk assessments and safety planning
Providing weekly and as-needed therapy to each client and families as needed
Providing weekly clinical groups
Providing linkage and case management
Providing clinical support and modeling to a professional and paraprofessional staff
Helping maintain a therapeutic and welcoming outpatient clinic environment
Providing shared on-call support to the residential facility staff and clients
Providing clinical supervision of associate level clinicians (stipend offered)
