JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds. Responsible for support capacity of all plant functions, maintaining equipment in an operable, safe manner. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and apply micrometer, caliper, gages, and tape measure. Ability to perform required maintenance and repairs, including preventive maintenance and lubrication of all equipment. Ability to run all maintenance machineries such as drill presses and bench grinders. Ability to read mechanical blueprints. Ability to drive a forklift and overhead cranes. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to stand and walk for 8-16 hour shifts, and the ability to walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crawl, and bend frequently. Ability to work in an environment without climate control. Ability to work overtime and/or various shifts. REQUIREMENTS: At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and associate degree or certificate in industrial maintenance, or at least 4 years of relevant maintenance experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to read shop signs and instructions and collaborate with team members. Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in working on pneumatic and hydraulic systems, rebuilding gear boxes, bearings, and conveyor systems. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in operating a variety of hand and portable power tools as well as machine shop tools.
