Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in the School/Center premises. Performs additional work as assigned by the immediate superior. Have a good understanding of safety and adheres to safety rules and regulations. Communicating on a regular basis with the occupants in the assigned area and provides feedback to immediate superior of any important updates related to work.
The successful candidate will be considered essential personnel and must be able to provide daily cleaning, restocking, sanitizing & disinfecting to all assigned areas. Assigned areas can include but are not limited to- classrooms, restrooms, labs, athletic facilities, offices, student living space, kitchens, clinics, and exterior spaces which can include snow removal. This position works under limited supervision to assist in the daily operation of the department. Daily operational responsibility in accounts payable functions, general ledger accounting, and recording journal entries. The individual must demonstrate superior attention to detail skills and be accountable for accuracy and timely completion of purchase order entry, invoice payments, and external charge data uploads. The accountant must exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with all vendors and staff members regarding purchase orders, allocating costs, and recording monthly journal entries. The accountant should have outstanding business writing skills required for documenting new processes and incorporating best practices as outlined in the University’s Business Control Model. A strong knowledge of and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.
Job Responsibilities
· Review and process invoices to ensure proper recording of expenses and accounts payable. Respond to vendor and internal inquiries. Monitor invoice processing reports to insure compliance with procurement to payment initiatives.
· Approve purchase order requests daily, ensuring accuracy, completeness and that appropriate back up of three (3) bids or a bid waiver are attached prior to submission to BEN. Investigate and clear exceptions of Purchase Orders not transmitted.
· Review, research and release all invoices placed on hold. Generate and reconcile invoices entered to the AiM sub ledger and BEN general ledger, and complete any adjusting entries. Analyze open encumbrance report responses and complete the final close process.
· Generate weekly report outlining invoice receipts & disbursements required to be entered in AiM.
· Create and maintain various reports, generate FRF Capital Renewal, Life Safety and Insurance work requests. Enter new account numbers into AiM. Complete work order to work order transfers.
· Document end-to-end procedures, incorporating best practices, for all workflow processes. Recommend streamlining and process improvement strategies.
· Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications Required Skills:
