Building Maintenance Mechanic

Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs such as preventive maintenance, filter changes, greasing bearings, inspecting belts, fluid levels, taking readings on equipment, troubleshooting, and inspecting equipment and making daily rounds thru equipment rooms.

• Performs minor maintenance on electrical systems such as replacing batteries, and light bulbs.
• Troubleshoot VFD’s and fan power units as needed.
• Perform small plumbing repairs, including drain clean out, replace valves.
• Cleans the shop and mechanical spaces, including wiping down equipment of dirt and grease.
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
• Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Monitor building automation system for issues with heating and cooling of building.
