Meyer Distributing is looking for a Database Administrator to join our Indianapolis, IN team - we are hiring immediately! Meyer Distributing is a leader in automotive specialty products marketing and warehouse distribution. We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade logistics and distribution software. You will own features end-to-end, partner with operations stakeholders, and deliver reliable systems that improve throughput, visibility, and decision-making.
Education/Certification(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology or a related field
Requirements for Database Administrator:
- 5+ years of professional experience delivering production software as a full stack or backend-heavy full stack engineer.
- Advanced proficiency with C#, ASP.NET, and building APIs (authentication, authorization, versioning, pagination, error contracts).
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including query optimization and schema design.
- Front-end development experience with modern frameworks (React or Angular preferred) and strong HTML/CSS fundamentals.
- Experience working with source control (Git) and established SDLC practices (code review, testing, release discipline).
- Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical requirements and shippable increments.
Preferred Qualifications for Database Administrator:
- Experience building logistics, distribution, supply chain, ERP-adjacent, or operations tooling.
- Experience with message-based integrations, file-based integrations (CSV/EDI-style), or
- API integrations between systems.
- Performance profiling experience across application and database layers.
- Experience mentoring other developers or leading small project initiatives.

Database Administrator duties include but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain full-stack web applications with C# and ASP.NET (MVC/Web API).
- Design, implement, and version RESTful APIs and backend services used across internal platforms.
- Develop responsive front-end interfaces; React or Angular experience is strongly preferred.
- Model business workflows (orders, inventory, routing, warehouse operations, integrations) into maintainable code and data structures.
- Write and optimize SQL Server queries, views, stored procedures, and indexes, tune for performance at production scale.
- Implement observability practices (logging, metrics, error handling) to support high uptime and fast issue resolution.
- Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to deploy and support applications in an on-prem environment.
- Lead technical design discussions, participate in code reviews, and raise the bar on engineering standards.
