The Field Superintendent at Greenlight Networks is a new position, responsible for managing small to large construction projects, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring that all field operations align with company standards. This role requires strong leadership in coordinating labor and schedules to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective project completion. The Field Superintendent will also uphold safety standards, maintain open communication with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry regulations.
Essential Functions:
Site Supervision: Direct all on-site construction activities, including managing subcontractors, tradespeople, and foremen to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality execution.
Project Coordination: Oversee pre-construction, construction, and post-construction tasks, working closely with construction coordinators to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain project schedules. Regularly communicate with the construction coordinators regarding the status of the job and assist with project meetings as needed.
Project Timeline Management: Oversee project schedules, identify potential setbacks, and implement strategies to maintain progress while ensuring efficient use of resources.
Quality Control: Ensure all work meets Greenlight Networks quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. Perform safety audits of our contractors to ensure that safe working practices, proper PPE, traffic control and other safe work practices are being followed.
Subcontractor Coordination: Manage the performance of subcontractors, ensuring that work is completed according to project plans and timelines. Regularly communicate with subcontractors to address any issues, track progress, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. Work closely with the project team to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule and in compliance with project specifications.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary on-site contact, keeping customers and internal teams informed of progress, challenges, and solutions. Foster good working relationships with owners, architects, and other stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, change orders, safety meeting notes, and project status updates. Ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted on time. This includes daily tracking of Quality Check Punchlist items, live running tracker of our construction print to notate any changes, and submitting field-verified as-builts upon completion of the project.
Problem-Solving: Proactively address construction challenges to keep projects on track, utilizing problem-solving techniques to resolve issues efficiently, including emergency response availability and coordination.
Assist with other engineering tasks as assigned.
Ability to travel within all Greenlight Networks markets as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Experience in telecom, fiber network design, or outside plant construction is beneficial.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deliverables while successfully communicating with contractors and vendors performing the work.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with a focus on efficiency.
Demonstrate collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to work well with both internal and external parties to achieve company goals and objectives.
Proficiency in construction software, PDF editor (Bluebeam), Microsoft Office Suite, and Sitetracker.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
In-depth knowledge of construction best practices, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
Ability to navigate active construction sites and work in varying conditions.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Education and Experience
High school diploma required, vocational or college degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
OSHA 30 certification is strongly preferred.

As our first Outside Fiber Technician , in Baltimore, you will be one of the initial points of contact for our customers ensuring they experience a seamless installation process ensuring the highest level of customer experience is exceeded by providing an ultra-high-speed internet service.
What you’ll be doing:
Cabling testing and documentation (all media types)
Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems and networks.
Working with optical fiber, etc. including performing all cable pulling, suspension, fiber terminating, and testing in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other local regulations .
Working as part of a collaborative team to ensure premiere service to our business and residential customers
Helping with other business-related duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
Excellent teamwork ability and customer service skills
Minimum of one-year installation experience required
Basic understanding of fiber optics cabling and splicing
Basic computer & home networking skills; basic electronic audio/video knowledge is helpful
Ability to properly use all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks-including Drills, Cable Cutters, Splicers, Hammer Drill
A high standard of work ethics with an ability to perform all work in a neat and quality manner
Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and requirements including wearing all forms of PPE

Must have great work ethic and be trainable
Work aloft and in close spaces up to 30ft in ladder, or hand climb utility poles using gaffs; work in manholes.

Acts as a liaison for company and joint use activities and documents necessary to carry out make-ready construction activities and subsequent licensing. Activities will include joint use application, oversight of make ready engineering and construction activities, participation in joint use ride outs, and as-built verification.

Completes purchase requisitions for applications, licensing, and make-ready work for pole attachment planning in all markets.
Determine path and design for deployment of new fiber assets.
Reviews and may possibly dispute Make-Ready E-5 plans from contractors.
Submit applications within New Markets.
Conduct field surveys and review field collected data from technicians and vendors.
Forecasts upcoming work to contract partners as well as the engineering and construction teams at Greenlight Networks.
Identifies barriers and creates solutions to timely completion of make ready work and license approval, keeping relevant parties informed, and troubleshooting resolutions to decrease delays and/or expenses.
Assists with process & data management for joint use related activities.
Attend meetings and site surveys with joint pole/structure owner(s) and related 3rd party agencies/contractors.
Verify completed construction and review as-builts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of joint use application process.
